Nancy Yammout is the Co-Founder and President of Rescue Me, a non-governmental organization focused on violent crimes and violence prevention. Nancy and her sister, co-founder, Maya, conducted forensic social field research research on extremism, victims of extremism, refugees, war and trauma. Over the past 10 years, they have interviewed more than 100 prisoners in Roumieh prison and Barbar el Kazin accused of extremism and related charges in order to develop a behavioral analysis profile of these individuals. Simultaneously, RescueMe runs programs with prisons and on traumatized refugees in slum areas in Lebanon. These programs include vocational trainings, social media, expressive art and psycho-social Intervention programs when funding is available.
