Dr. Collins Santhanasamy is a medical doctor with experience in nonprofit management, stakeholder engagement, and community building. He is an alumnus of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Public Health in Disasters (EMJMDPHID) program, a Global Atlantic Fellow for health equity in southeast Asia, and a Development Fellow at The Asia Foundation.
Collins serves in a voluntary capacity on the management board of the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) as director of partnerships and as an ambassador for UNLEASH and One Young World. He leads Youth4DRR, a collaborative network of youth-led organisations, delegations, and individuals from various backgrounds, all committed to enhancing Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) strategies.
He is also a Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) and Community Solutions Program alumnus and has previously served on the World Health Organization (WHO) Intern Board (2023). Collins is passionate about health innovation and working with youth at the intersection of health and climate action. He has field experience working alongside urban poor, refugee, and rural communities across South and Southeast Asia on programs related to health and education.
